CABIN KIDS CHILDCARE
                  Where  every child shines

Cabin kids childcare is located in Bessels Green in Sevenoaks, Kent. The setting runs from 2 large interconnecting cabins, with a bathroom off of one of the cabins. The Cabins are  located at the back of my property at the bottom of my garden. We have our own fenced off garden area with a large deck which is partially undercover and a grass area.

The setting is a family affair and consists of myself, a registered childminder, and two assistants. My oldest daughter is one of my assistants and a close family friend is the other. My mom is an unofficial helper and does most of our cooking, the children all love her and call her Granny. My other daughters often help out when needed. My husband is always on hand to fix things. The setting is open all year round. We only close for 2 weeks over the Christmas holidays. 

We operate from Monday to Friday from 7:30am- 6:00pm.

We accept children on a full time or part time basis  and each family can decide their hours which are then set in a contract.

 

We currently offer wrap around (before and or after school)  care for children attending the following schools/pre-schools :

• St Johns Primary

• Riverhead Infants school

• Chevening Primary school. 

• Amherst Primary School

• Chevening Nursery

• The Childrens  Workshop

We provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two snacks to the children who are in attendance at meal times. All our meals are healthy and nutritious and take children's allergies, intolerances and preferences into account where relevant. We have a wide range of toys, games and activities for the children to play with and enjoy. We have a storage room behind the cabins and every term we change over the toys to keep the children interested. We also plan outings and adventures for the children. A good relationship with parents is essential to the development and learning of all children. To achieve this we correspond regularly, through daily updates for the under 1's via WhatsApp, termly newsletters and we are always available via WhatsApp chat or email and appointments can be made for meetings when necessary. Each child under 5 has a learning journal completed by their key worker. Parents views are essential to establish starting points for their childs' learning journal. This is updated weekly and the latest page is sent to parents via email. Through this method parents can see what we have been doing that week as well as the learning and development that has taken place. Parents can request to view the entire journal at any time and this can be emailed or printed out. Parents are encouraged to contribute to their child's records and comment on observations we have done.
