Our two children have been with Michelle for the past 8 years and we continue to be delighted with the exemplary standard of care and how much a part of the family we feel. I can't recommend the setting more highly. (Alison)

We have sent both our children to Cabinkids since they were 10 and 11 months old. Right from the beginning Michelle was fantastic at helping to settle them in, going the extra mile to take on board any special requests and allowing flexibility around settle days. 

Our daughter and son have both developed so much during their time there and, most importantly, have so much fun. It really is the perfect mix of a ‘home from home’ childminders environment, with the expertise and excitement of a nursery setting. The cabin set up with the garden and decking outside means that the children have a great opportunity for lots of outdoor play. The larger size of the setting, compared to other childminders, means that there is a great mix of older pre schools and younger babies/ toddlers for the kids to socialise and learn from. 

We view Michelle, Jade and Kerryn as the children’s extended family, which we’ve been especially grateful for during the lockdown period. You can tell that it is not just a job to the team, their care for the children is wonderful and it’s so reassuring to have such lovely staff engage and look after our children with the continuity of such little staff turnover.  (Katherine)

Our son who recently turned 2 has been attending CabinKids since September. He absolutely loves attending! He can't wait to get there in the morning and always seems to have fun. Each month is a new exciting theme that involves developmentally appropriate, fun learning activities! Communication with parents is always clear and Michelle is always quick to respond to any questions we have. CabinKids is such a warm and nurturing environment for our son. We highly recommend Michelle and all the teachers there!  (Betsy)

Our children have been going to Michelle and her team at Cabin Kids Childcare over the past six years. We could not be happier. Our son and daughter both started as young babies. It was so important for us to find childcare where we felt complete trust leaving them when so young. Our children have all thrived under their care. It has a wonderful family feel and we really like the purpose built, dedicated childcare setting. The added bonus of school and preschool runs are a real lifeline. We just wanted to say how brilliant Cabin Kids Childminders are. Our daughter has been attending the settings for over a year now, she has settled in really well right from the beginning and bonded with all staff members. Michelle provides a fantastic care with such a homely and pleasant atmosphere. Our daughter has been engaging in many different plays and activities and her imagination and speech have been developing really well.

The provision is good.

 

Children flourish in this warm and welcoming setting. They have extremely good relationships with the childminder and her assistants, who are kind and caring in their approach. Children are confident to approach them for comfort and cuddles when they need reassurance. Children are highly motivated and learn through interesting and enjoyable play opportunities. They explore and investigate the space and resources enthusiastically. This sparks children's curiosity. For example, they enjoy painting the silver foil laid out for them and explore water play in a variety of ways.

Children behave well. They follow instructions and the daily routine with ease. For instance, children know that they need to tidy up before lunchtime. Children know what is expected of them. This supports them to develop a good attitude to learning. They learn to share and take turns. For example, children take turns in choosing an object, which links to familiar rhymes, from a bag. They all join in with singing the chosen song. Children become increasingly independent. They enjoy the healthy snacks and meals the childminder offers. They pour their own water from the water dispenser and put the cup away when finished. Older children manage their own self-care.
